Our Santa Fe based design studio is currently accepting applications for our Summer 2017 Internship. We are looking for those who are driven, passionate about landscape architecture, exhibit emerging leadership, and have a wide range of skills to contribute to our work and our team.

2017 SURROUNDINGS Summer INTERNSHIP

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our projects span all types and scales, making each day at work in our collaborative studio diverse, challenging, and engaging. The candidate’s responsibilities will be wide-ranging, from supporting our project managers with the production of renderings, 3D modeling, to Construction Document production, to visiting active construction sites. You will also assist us with the organization of our studio and database assets.

EXPERIENCE

Currently attending an accredited BLA/BSLA/MLA program; exemplary BS Arch and B Arch program candidates will be considered

SKILL SET

Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator; After Effects/Premiere a plus)
AutoCAD or VectorWorks (VectorWorks a plus)
SketchUp (Rhino/Lumion a plus)
Strong time-management, team leading and organizational skills
Strong self-editing skills to improve accuracy of work
Strong work/studio culture ethic
Strong spatial cognition skills
Local knowledge of Southwest (water/plants/climate) a plus

EDUCATION

Prior BSLA/BLA or other design related degree preferred

LANDSCAPE DESIGNER/PROJECT ASSISTANT

RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibility for this position will be to support for our project managers and be an active contributor to our designs. The candidate will be facile in multiple workflows to create 3d renderings, graphics, diagrams, booklets, presentation materials, and detailed construction documents.

2-4 years experience

SKILL SET
